Enough to Blow a Dog off its Chain!

The wind today has increased to near gale level and the motorhome is rocking with the gusts. It has survived 100kph gusts before and is handling the 80k gusts we are getting at the moment.

We did little today other than relocate to Coles Bay on the Freycinet Peninsula. We've booked a cruise tomorrow but hold little hope that it will go ahead. No matter, we can explore the national park instead.

On the recommendation of other travellers, we stopped for lunch at a fish van near the Triabunna harbour. Both of us thought it wasn't anything special, however, we love the Tassie serving cones:

The drive north on the Tasman Highway from Sorell meanders alongside rivers and the coast with lovely views in many spots:

The convict built Spiky Bridge a few kilometres south of Swansea is worth a stop:

Not too much further towards Swansea is Kate's Berry Farm, a much nicer stop for lunch than Triabunna. The ice cream and the view are great:

There is a lookout over Oyster Bay, south of the turnoff to Freycinet:
